Every summer I spend a couple weeks in Oregon. It's one of my favorite times of the year where I get to spend time with family, friends and exploring the great Northwest. My boyfriend was able to join me this last trip and since we were out there we meet up with Jessica and her husband and traded photo sessions. It was fun to get our photos taken and bounce different ideas off of each other. See the photos that she took of us over on her blog!
Erica and I technically have known each other since we were little. Our dad's have been best friends since kindergarten, so when Erica got engaged they started planning photography matchmaker.
It was a seriously gorgeous day in Oregon with not a cloud in the sky. Mt. Hood was off in the distance, rows of flowers and a couple crazy in love. All things I love a lot.
One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is capturing emotions. It's a beautiful thing to be able to capture real, authentic moments throughout the day and Amanda and Virgil's wedding was full of them. Their wedding set at Bowing Oaks Plantation, was full of beautiful sunshine, happy tears and lots of laughter. One stunning couple, a beautiful wedding dress and a beautiful day had me in my happy place all day.
When Christina contacted me about shooting her wedding I was so excited! One, because it was a New Years Eve wedding which would mean all the sparkles and two, because it was in the hill country of Austin, TX! Christina's wedding was a perfect example of elegance. With lush bouquets, simple bridesmaids dresses, and a wedding dress that seemed to fall from heaven I was in love. We partied into the night and brought the new year in the best way possible!
