Texas may not be what you think of for pretty fall colors, but you would be surprised by East Texas. One of the few things I've fallen in love with living here is the fields for days. There are few places that you can drive without passing some sort of field so when Sarah and B.j. visited for Thanksgiving I said hey guys want to take some pictures! Sarah is my sweetheart's sister which was made it extra special to capture a few moments of her and her sweetheart. I call these pictures "engagement" pictures because they got engaged a few weeks later, so these are just the pre to the engagement!
I met Stephanie through the big world of Instagram. She is an amazing florist so when she asked me if I would like to shoot an anniversary session for them I of course said yes! We had such a sweet morning wandering around Dallas, she made a beautiful bouquet and they dressed to impress (can we talk about how amazing her dress is?)
Every summer I spend a couple weeks in Oregon. It's one of my favorite times of the year where I get to spend time with family, friends and exploring the great Northwest. My boyfriend was able to join me this last trip and since we were out there we meet up with Jessica and her husband and traded photo sessions. It was fun to get our photos taken and bounce different ideas off of each other. See the photos that she took of us over on her blog!
I love the subtle colors of an east coast sunset, as it fades in the distances and pours over the sky. This bouquet by Marble + Pine was inspired by just that. The colors that find there way painted over the sky and find there way into the reflections of the ocean. Lacey and Miles met up with us at Little Talbot Island not far from Jacksonville, FL. This beach is filled with incredible fallen trees and driftwood making it one of my favorite beaches to photograph at. Yellows, soft blues and cream tones filled every aspect of this shoot, adding to the romance. You don't need much to create something beautiful and let two people's love shine through.
Oh Washington Oaks, how I love you. So often I end up at this state park, and for good reason. Perfect sunlight, greenery and endless options for where to photograph. Sarah and Darby meet me there a couple of weeks ago for their engagement session and I probably talked about the sunlight way to much, but really I couldn't get enough! I can't wait to photograph these two's wedding come March.
